Meet BookWright from Blurb

Would you like to build a gorgeous family history book full of photos and text? How about an ebook to read on an iPad? And a PDF edition for those who don’t have iPads? You can! With the new BookWright software, Blurb makes it easy to create all of these from one book project.

BookWright is free and available for both Windows and Mac users. At first glance it looks quite similar to their Book Smart software, but with BookWright you can also include video and audio clips in your project (for iPad editions only). And, there are a number of “iPad friendly” fonts available – meaning you can use them without worrying about licensing rights.

Want to learn more? Check out the introduction to BookWright in the latest Blurb newsletter, then go look at what others have done. You can also download the BookWright user guide (PDF) from the BookWright page. And, if you need some inspiration, check out The Dog Photographer by Amanda Jones. Her enhanced ebook includes both video and audio clips.

Oh, and if you don’t hear from me for a while, it’s because BookWright looks like just the platform for my Behind the Alligator Farm project.
